This is what happened to me few days ago. Tuesday evening precisely.
While I was waiting at the bus stop, back facing the roadside, an alcohol bottle was smashed and landed right beside me out of nowhere. I was terrified of what happened and asked a Taiwanese passer-by if he seen anything. At first I had a hard time communicate with him in English, until he asked me if I speak Mandarin. Then he told me some drunken men threw the bottle out from the car window and drove off quickly. Then I start to feel that there's something flowing out from my sandal. Yes, blood. Lots of it, bleeding non-stop. The Taiwanese guy was in a hurry to go home. I can see that he didn't want to get involve so I urged him to go home. Then I scroll down the contact list on my mobile and dialed the first number. It's Tim, my church mate whom lives just nearby. He drove me home and my pharmacist housemate worried that the glass already cut through my foot and get infection. I was immediately sent to the hospital nearby and waited for 2 hours to be treated. In that two hours, I pray to bless those people whom threw the bottle towards me and asked Lord to heal my wound. When I was placed on ward and doctor was cleaning my wound carefully, he said : " Erm, It seems that I can't find any major cuts or wound. It's just a small cuts on your little toe." Thank God, really. Although I missed out my last individual presentation of the semester, I am safe from being hit on the head by a glass bottle and also no severe injuries reported! Praise the Lord for his almighty blessing! Thank heaps to my church mate and housemates too! Just hope this would not happen again in the future.
